Remote Surveillance
Our Policies

Equality & Diversity Policy

Our commitment to equality of opportunity, fair treatment and a workplace free from discrimination.

The aim of this policy is to communicate the commitment of the directors and managers of Remote Surveillance to the promotion of equality of opportunity.

It is our policy to ensure that all job applicants and employees receive fair treatment regardless of their gender, sexual orientation, race, nationality, ethnic and national origin, disability, age, trade union membership, religious belief, work location or working hours. We do this by adhering to all equal opportunities legislation and by ensuring that we are fair, objective, transparent and free from discrimination in all of our systems, processes, procedures, activities and decisions.

We are opposed to all forms of unlawful and unfair discrimination. Decisions about recruitment and selection, promotion, training and any other benefit are made objectively and without unlawful discrimination. We recognise that providing equal opportunities is not only good management practice but sound business sense: it helps everyone who works for us to develop their potential, and allows the talents and resources of our workforce to be used fully.

Who this policy applies to

This policy applies to everyone who works for, or applies to work for, Remote Surveillance: job applicants and potential applicants, employees, contract workers, agency workers, trainees and students on work experience or placement, volunteers, and former employees.

Responsibilities

The Managing Director, as diversity champion, holds overall responsibility for the correct application and implementation of this policy. All managers are responsible for:

  • ensuring the non-discriminatory treatment of all job applicants and employees, and promoting equality of opportunity;
  • identifying and removing discriminatory attitudes and practices within the organisation;
  • raising the level of employees’ awareness of this policy’s existence;
  • dealing fairly and promptly with any discriminatory issue raised in the course of employment.

This policy is issued to employees when they join the company and is available to them at any time. Its continuing suitability is reviewed within our Integrated Management System.
