Corporate Social Responsibility Policy

How we conduct business responsibly towards our people, our customers, our communities and the environment.

We define Corporate Social Responsibility as:

  • conducting business in a socially responsible and ethical manner;
  • protecting the environment and the safety of people;
  • supporting human rights;
  • engaging with, learning from, respecting and supporting the communities and cultures we work with.

We ensure that these considerations are supported in our operations and administration, and are consistent with the best interests of our stakeholders. All employees adopt them in their day-to-day work, and the management team act as role models by incorporating them into decision-making across the business. Management ensure that appropriate organisational structures are in place to identify, monitor and manage our corporate social responsibility performance.

Business ethics and transparency

We maintain high standards of integrity and corporate governance in our daily operations, and promote the business in an open, honest and ethical manner. We recognise the importance of protecting our human, financial, physical, informational, social, environmental and reputational assets. Our environmental and health and safety policies are in place and communicated to all staff.

Stakeholder relations

We engage our stakeholders clearly, honestly and respectfully, and are committed to timely and meaningful dialogue with them, including our customers, our employees, regulators and landowners.

Employee relations

We ensure employees are treated fairly and with dignity, and with consideration for their goals and aspirations, and we embrace diversity in the workplace. We apply fair labour practices while respecting national and local law. We are committed to providing equal opportunities in all aspects of employment, and we do not engage in or tolerate workplace misconduct, including discrimination, intimidation or harassment.

Human rights

We will not tolerate human rights abuses, and will not engage in or be complicit in any activity that solicits or encourages them. We strive to build trust, deliver mutual advantage and demonstrate respect for the cultures, customs and values of individuals and groups.

Community investment

We integrate community considerations into our decision-making and business practices, and seek to build mutually beneficial relationships with the communities in which we work.
